Life Will Change - Palace Event Signups

We promised that we would reveal a future series of events that we're planning to do, so it's time to start thinking about Palaces. This is a concept taken from Persona 5, which is similar to Dungeons from Persona 4, and from the Megami Tensei Wiki: "A Palace is a manifestation of "distortion," strong negative or corrupt thoughts that warp the perceptions of people into a hazard for themselves and others." Characters who own Palaces are possessed by their Shadow Selves, aka manifestations of their most negative qualities.

Here, in Link Up!, Palaces should be designed with an end goal for their owners in mind: to defeat their Shadows and return to their normal selves, in whatever way that means for each individual, while involving and challenging the characters who are up for these "rescue" missions. (If you have other end goals in mind, let us know.) A Palace can take the form of a boss fight, CYOA, a combination of both -- we're allowing people to be pretty flexible with it!

However, we understand that not everyone will be ready to commit to running one without seeing some examples first. Therefore, we have a "tutorial" Palace scheduled at the start of Week 5 (8/31). This tutorial Palace will run in the same week as another Palace we have scheduled, so you'll have two to reference! These can take anywhere between 2-5 days, with 5 days typically running at a more moderate pace; it depends on who is running it and what their requirements are.

If you are unsure how to structure or run your Palace, the mod team will help you brainstorm! However, you may want to choose a later week if you don't feel as confident about it. This is why we are opening signups early, though -- we want to give people as much time to plan as possible.

We can take between 5-7 people for this. If we get more than 7 signups, we will pick what we feel is easiest to slot in with our schedule.

If you are not interested in engaging with the Palaces in any capacity, or if you sign up and do not get chosen, don't worry! We will have other cool things you can engage with while these are running. People who sign up and don't get chosen may have a little extra something, too. ;)
